I have been dying to get back into blogging, writing, cooking, and shooting for the past two months. I wish life would slow down a bit. We are not having Thanksgiving at our home as we will be going to my sister’s house for the over indulging marathon. I decided to pretend I was going to be cooking at home and put together my list for Thanksgiving Menu Planning. Hoping that you will make at least one or two of my favorites to share with your loved ones.
Nibbles: I have to admit the past year I have been eliminating appetizers before a dinner party. I have been tending to serve a bowl of olives as I wanted our guests to devour everything else. If I was cooking this Thanksgiving at home I would definitely lay out a few of these favorites with a bottle of bubbles to start the evening.
White Cheddar and Sage Gourgeres
Turkey: I have two turkey recipes to share. The first one is for a dry brined turkey, I love making turkeys this way as the skin really crisps up. Earlier this year I roasted a heritage turkey, it is completely different but equally as good.
Sides: Honestly for me I am all about the sides. I usually have a nibble of turkey and fill my plate with sides. I do like a good turkey sandwich the next day but bring on all the potatoes and gravy the day of.
