Happy Friday!  Big plans this weekend?  Lenny is training for a boy’s biking trip in May, so his weekend will be spent …. biking.  I am going to be playing major catch-up as I have a handful of recipes to shoot and finish writing both for Chez Us and work.  As well, I cannot wait to stock up the fridge with some goodness from the Farmer’s Market.  It has been three weeks since I have been, and my body is dying for some goodness after all the heavy food that is consumed during travels.  I kept Weekly Menu Week 9 on the lighter side, and added a recipe for Sunday that could be carried into Monday.  I hope you enjoy it!

  • olive oil
  • yellow onions – always have many on hand
  • limes – lots of them (always have on hand)
  • garlic – always have a few bulbs
  • butter
  • nutmeg
  • guajillo pepper
  • chili sequin pods or you can use cayenne
  • ground chipotle pepper
  • pimento d’ville or can use paprika
  • grape seed oil
  • kosher salt
  • black pepper
  • 00 flour or all purpose flour
  • yeast
  • sugar


  • 2 pounds cremini mushrooms
  • bunch fresh rosemary
  • 2 bunches cilantro
  • 2 large red onion
  • green garlic
  • 4 avocados
  • couple slicer tomatoes
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 2 medium zucchini
  • 1 fresno chili


  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chicken, I like dark meat
  • 1 pound peeled shrimp
  • 2 pounds sirloin


  • 16 ounces heavy cream
  • 10 ounces grated parmesan
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces Gruyere cheese


  • lasagne noodles
  • corn or flour tortillas – couple packages for tacos and fajitas
  • ciabatta bread
  • your favorite tomato soup to go with grilled cheese
  • your favorite pizza toppings to go with homemade pizza dough
  • tequila
  • favorite salsa
