Last night we took a little pre-wedding cocktail party over to Andy and Jeff’s house. They are getting married tomorrow, and we wanted to give them something to celebrate their love with a few friends joining along. Something easy, with no clean-up and lots of good food so they could relax, reflect on their love and laugh with loved ones.
These guys are some off you best friends, and we spend a lot of time with them. They are definitely couple who have everything and don’t need anything, as well they did not want any gifts. We could not go to a celebration of love without doing something. They love food and wine so we decided to put together this pre-wedding cocktail party.
In keeping with our Eat Local Challenge, we are proud to say everything on the menu was local, except for the bottle of Deutz Champagne! We wish the photo was better as the food was really fantastic. That is what happens when you want candle light and a dimly lit scene for romance. It was the perfect evening, and the perfect gift!
The menu was:
Smoked Salmon Dip w/crudites
Lavash Crackers (fennel/garlic/smoked pimento, cracked pepper/sea salt, and rosemary/sea salt) with Tapenade
Sweet meringue nuts – store bought
