Ripe Cookbook Review

We recently made a batch of Eggplant Romesco and have been enjoying it on slices of bread, tossed with hot pasta, smeared over grilled chicken breasts and by the spoonful.  It is slightly smokey and spicy.  Full of end of summer flavors, and the texture is just rough enough to keep things interesting.  It is only one of our favorite recipes from the new Ripe Cookbook.

  8. I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book. It looks fabulous! This week, I had some very ripe plums that needed to be baked with. And boy were they fabulous!

  11. Beautiful plums and peaches. Tonight I’m simply bringing out the flavors by sauteing them in butter and drizzling some ice cream over them. Can’t wait! Everyone loves this dessert.

    Dear Denise,

    Your favorite recipe is “Warm fava shallot couscous” and I have some delicious ripe peaches in my kitchen. I’ll make a salad from them with thinly sliced raw monkfish and maybe a nice chutney with the rest of them.
