I love; I say that sarcastically, all these foods that have their day or even months. National Twinkie Day. Sweet Chili Pepper Day. Hot dang dog week. You name it; there is a day or month for pretty much every food you may put in your body. For instance, did you know this month is National Chili Month? But, of course, you did. To be honest with you, I don’t have time to scour the world wide calendars, looking for these special days, nor do I want to tribute all our meals or the foods I use to cook with, to that one particular day. This probably makes me a bad “food blogger”. Bad Food Blogger.
Now, I am not knocking it, and if you participate in all of them, kudos to you. Maybe I am a little jealous that Chez Us doesn’t have the time, nor the hips to endure National Ho Ho Day. I just find it funny that all food groups now have a “holiday” per se.
I found out about National Chili Month when approached about some of our chili recipes. I thought, “Hey, I am going to be a good food blogger, and share some favorites chili recipes from around the world wide web. We love chili, and we make it very often during the cold wintery months. So, here it goes, a few of our favorite chili recipes that we cannot wait to cook up in our kitchen for “every night Wednesday meals”.
