Happy New Year!  Just like that the holidays, and 2014 flew by.  Did you have a great holiday season as well as a good year?  It was a good year for us, one filled with lots of work (whew), travels, adventures and great food;  but, we are really looking forward to 2015.  We anticipate another busy year work wise as the calendar is already filling up, we have some fun adventures that we’d like to take as well as a couple vacations, and a bright and shiny New Chez Us coming very soon.  Not to mention the food.  Planning on kicking up taco tuesday again, as well we have been trying out some new recipes, and we cannot wait to tweak and then share.  Wondering what we have been Crushing On this week?  As we are finishing up holiday celebrations this week, which really means overindulging a bit more before we kick off the New Year on Monday. Yes, we give ourselves a grace period right after the first, and officially start the New Year on the first Monday, before we detox our bodies, which means, eating clean for thirty days.  We start our clean eating by making a big batch of healthy detox soup, which we try to enjoy for our main meals for two – three weeks, though we may do it a bit different this year.  We also cut out alcohol (almost all), dairy and refined sugar.  This year we are thinking of adding lots of salads, soups, fish and ultra light meals using loads of fresh produce from the farmer’s market, in addition to the detox soup.  Will keep you posted!

Hoping your new year has started off on the right foot, and may 2015 be bright and shiny all year long!
