Spain, I have had you on my mind for a few months now. I blame it on the fact that I have been dying to take a vacation, and now a few fun travel events are teasing me. First was the arrival of a gorgeous new cookbook written by Jose Pizarro, I cannot wait to tell you all about it. I will say this, I love that the book is broken down into segments of Spain, and that I get to taste a little of the whole country. Just makes it even hard to decide where to go first!
Second, I have been shooting some recipes for Lava Lake Ranch. They are in our opinion the best lamb in the USA, and now they are raising grass-fed beef. The first recipe I shot for them are these outrageous Spanish meatballs. If you love to cook tapas, add them to your menu.
Third, my friend Tim, pinged me a couple weeks ago with the lure of Spain. Tim Clinch is a world renowned food photographer, and I had the honors of sitting in during one of his food photography workshops in the Gascony region of France. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience as well as shooting alongside him.
I learned so much about shooting, telling a story and editing, then I have in a very long time. For 2013, Tim is teaching with his same hands-on approach in Andalucia, Spain and Kotel, Bulgaria. I am definitely teetering on hopping over to Spain for one of the workshops; I can only imagine the delicious things waiting to be shot!
Full details can be found here.
Gosh look at those meatballs. Wowsers lady.
And my goodness I wish I could do a photo workshop in Spain. How flipping cool would that be.
How amazing it would be to do a workshop in Spain, so fun! Those meatballs look perfect 🙂
I’ve been dying to go to Spain, too, I’ve been wanting to visit with friends who go there every summer. If I could tie in a photography workshop, too, that would be a dream!
A photography study in Spain could only be topped by the food found there. And those meatballs…what a splendid appeteaser. I hope you’ll log your travels here if you teeter over there.
The photos above are fabulous! Regarding the trip, don’t teeter, just GO! xo
